Sometimes I don't know why I still continue to post things on this, because I really don't know who even looks at it, but hey it makes me feel better. . . and when I post on here I feel like I'm telling the whole world, and that makes me feel better. I know weird, but have you ever been told something and just wanted to tell everyone that you know cause its crazy and cool but when you think about actually telling people you don't know who to tell for fear of bothering them with news that isn't as exciting to them, as it is to you. To make a long story short, that's how I've been feeling for about the last 24 hours!! It all started yesterday mid-morning when I got an unexpected phone call from my Stake President. . .yeah this could mean any number of things under my current situation. At first I thought he was just going to ask me to speak with the High Council one week, but that thought was quickly changed. . .so what was he calling me for???? He told me that there was a change, I'd still be leaving on the same day, I'd still be serving in the same mission, but instead of my parents dropping me off at the Provo MTC, they would be dropping me off at the airport so I could catch my flight to Argentina to enter the MTC there. I was and still am shocked, its funny I've been preparing to just be spending 9 weeks in Provo, where if I needed something I could let my parents know and they could send it to me rather fast. . . but man going to the MTC in Argentina, that's what I call a game changer!! To say that news was unexpected is an understatement, but I'm excited and even more eager to get there.

Ahhh. . . thanks for reading or at least looking ha! I feel better now!!

This Old A

This Old A. . .Its been good to me!! I have LOVED my time walking the campus of Utah State University!! I can't believe its been two years since I moved up to Logan, time has flown!! I've met so many great people and made new friends that have helped me become who I am currently.

In some ways I'm sad to be done here, but I'm ready for the next part of my life to start wherever that takes me.

So thank-you to all of those who have helped me along the way  and who will continue to help me in the next phase of my life.

PARAGUAY!!!!

For the two maybe three people that read this, never in a million years did I think that I would be called to serve in the Paraguay, Asuncion North Mission!! I am ecstatic!!! I'll be sitting in class, at home, in my car. . okay really anywhere and all of the sudden Paraguay will pop into my mind coupled with a smile!!

So just in case you know nothing about Paraguay here are some (what I think to be interesting) facts:

  • Paraguay is land wise the same size as California

  • Its population is about 6.5 million

  • It became the republic of Paraguay in 1992

  • it is surrounded my Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil

  • It is one of two landlocked coteries in South America

  • There are two main languages spoken there Spanish, Guarani (I've heard they speak a mix of both of these)

  • 89% of the population are Roman Catholics

  • There are 800 airports and 15 of those have paved run-ways

These are just a few of the many things I could share. Hope you enjoyed them!!!

LIFE!!!

I get it, life happens, I feel like it should be slower, but it just keeps going by faster and faster it seems. This past year has been a good one for me. Sure there have been changes, some good some not, some hard and others easy. But what would life be without change and growth. This January 22 will be the one year mark of the passing of a very dear loved one. This saddens me that its already been a year, at times it feels as though it was just yesterday. I can remember the days before and after her death so vividly I hope they will never leave my mind.

But this January also marks another change in my life, one that I hadn't vocalized to my parents till right around this time, my desire to serve a mission. I can remember the late night conversation with my mom, what about school? is it possible for me to graduate before I leave on a mission? what about after that? It was one of those conversations that makes me grateful for my parents and their constant and never ending love and support.

That brings us to today. Tomorrow will be my last first day of a semester in college, freaky yes, but exciting. Also in the next few weeks I hope to be able to submit my mission papers, before I know it I'll be gone serving the Lord, and to me that is the most exciting thing in my life!!
